Help for Swipe Baby Names — swipe through 1,200+ curated baby names with your partner and match on the ones you both love.
Each card shows a name with its meaning, origin, and pronunciation. Swipe right (or tap the heart) on names you love, left (or the ✕) on names you don’t. Your likes are saved in Names you loved so you can revisit them anytime.
When you and your partner both like the same name, it lands on the Matches screen. The easiest way to compare lists is Match by QR — see below. You can also browse matches by girls or boys, and tap any name for its full story.
Really offline. One phone opens Match by QR and shows a QR code encoding the names it liked; the other phone scans it with its camera. The matches are computed right on the device — no account, no internet, no server. The camera is used only to read the QR code.
Pick a vibe — classic, modern, vintage, nature, faith, heritage, and more — or use the quick filters for short, long, popular, or rare names. “Surprise me” mode mixes everything. Filters only change which names appear next; they never delete your likes.
Yes — add your surname in Settings and every card previews the full name, like a little nameplate. You can toggle it off anytime.
On the Matches screen, use Share for a text list, CSV for a spreadsheet, or PDF for a beautiful printable list. All three use the standard iOS share sheet.
No and no. There are no accounts and no sign-up, and the app works fully offline. Your swipes and matches stay on your device — see our privacy policy.
