Privacy Policy

This policy covers Arête, the daily-ritual app published by Iconics Studio (the “App”). Arête is built to be calm and private. The short version: we don’t collect your personal data.

Information we collect

None that identifies you. The App has no login and no user accounts. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and we do not operate analytics or advertising trackers.

Information stored on your device

• Habits, goals & tasks — everything you track is stored locally on your device only.
• Reflections & voice memos — your written and recorded reflections are kept privately on your device. Voice memos are transcribed on-device using Apple’s speech recognition; audio and text are never uploaded.
• Preferences — wake times, sounds, and theme choices are stored locally only.

This information never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the App.

Microphone & speech recognition

If you choose to record an evening reflection, the App asks for microphone access, and for speech-recognition access to transcribe it so you can read it back. Both run on your device; recordings and transcripts are stored locally and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.

Music & alarm sounds

If you pick a song from your library as your wake sound, the App accesses that track on your device to play it. Nothing about your library is collected or transmitted.

Notifications

Wake-ups and reminders are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. We do not run push servers and receive no information about you. You can manage them in the App or in iOS Settings.

Children

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll post the updated version on this page with a new date.
